9110 Number of Members, Terms of Office

Number of Members 

The Board of Education consists of nine (9) members who serve staggered, six-year terms. An election shall be held every two years for three seats. 

Term of Office 

The term of office of a school board member shall be for six years. Members shall take office at the first regularly scheduled meeting after being sworn in. Before entering upon their official duties, members of the Board of Education shall take the oath of office before the Town Clerk or a designee of the Town Clerk.
